Swami Agyatananda, has devoted a significant part of his life in studying the human philosophy, religion, spirituality & nature. He has studied the works of several western and eastern philosophers, artists and psychologists. He has also been associated with study of religious texts of different faiths and their practices such as yoga, meditation & prayer for over 50 years. He has asserted that humanity’s problem arises from within and no amount of technological or scientific upgradation can solve them unless humans link themselves with their karma. He does not believe in any miracles or coincidences. For him all beings are equal irrespective of their faiths, beliefs & physique.
His name literally means “the one, who derives joy from the unknown”. He has disassociated himself from enjoying sensory pleasures, vices & opulence, so he does not believe in sharing his images/videos or appearing in public in any form. He has clearly stated that he is not a godman, engaging in distribution hope to followers, whether unsuspecting, skeptic or hopeful. He is also not a mystic or proponent of any special practice for development & healing from problems. As per his philosophy, the hope humans put in some special practice advised by someone for solution of problems is just another way of expecting a miracle.
He has kept a very limited set of proteges to impart his knowledge, as he believes that the seekers of true knowledge can find it anywhere in the universe. The blogs and videos are either guided by his discourses or are his discourses (mentioned wherever). Recitations are either by his disciples or machines. Discussions are handled by the proteges, who have excelled in his philosophy.
